I'm Carmen Eksteen, a Financial Adviser with a personal story that fuels my passion for helping others prepare for life’s unexpected turns and vulnerable moments. In 2022, I was in a serious car accident that left me with multiple severe injuries. It was during this incredibly challenging time that I realized the true value of financial planning. Thanks to the Income Protection, Severe Illness, and Functional Impairment cover I had in place, I was able to focus on my recovery without the added burden of financial stress. Before my accident, I was a qualified Primary School Teacher, unaware of how vital the right financial protection can be. I was fortunate to have had a Financial Adviser who guided me early on to put the right safety nets, or what I call “stoppers”, in place. That foresight changed the course of my journey, and it's the reason I do what I do today. I’m passionate about empowering others, especially young people, to take control of their financial future. I believe in working together, not just as an adviser, but as a partner in your financial journey. I value honesty, integrity, and doing what’s right, with care and responsibility. Beyond my professional role, I have a love for learning -whether it’s exploring different cultures and their cuisines, diving into new languages, or capturing the beauty of nature through wildlife photography and scuba diving. Teaching and sharing knowledge have always been at the heart of who I am, especially to help others see things from a fresh perspective.
