About me
I have always been driven by a deep passion for helping others. My journey began in the South African Police Service, where I dedicated years to serving and protecting my community. But as a devoted husband and father of two boys, I realized I wanted to spend more meaningful time with my family while still making a difference in people's lives. Fascinated by the world of finance and determined to understand why many remain trapped in poverty despite opportunities for change, I pivoted to the financial services industry. After rigorous study, I qualified as a financial advisor and later earned a national qualification in wealth management. Over the years, I have collaborated with industry leaders and even had the privilege of traveling to the USA to meet Patrick Bet-David, an internationally renowned entrepreneur and business leader who inspired me to keep pushing boundaries. After seven years working with various insurers, I followed my passion and partnered with Sanlam's unique franchise model. Together with Co-Director and Co-Founder Rovanie Pather, we launched Confiar Bluestar. The name Confiar is a Spanish word for 'Trust' which captures our mission of empowering families to build financial stability and generational wealth while "Trusting" the process and intermediary. Today, as Authorized Principal, I mentor and develops young professionals, speaks at events, and work with clients to create financial strategies that make a lasting impact. Outside of work, you'll find me cooking for my family or in the garden, nurturing growth in every sense of the word.
