The Glacier Waterberg Traverse is fast becoming an anticipated mountain bike event on the calendars of seasoned and novice cycling enthusiasts. Hosted by Glacier at the Summerplace Game Reserve, and organised by Dryland Event Management, the event brings together Glacier’s partners, clients, employees and their families in a three-day iconic event that should not be missed.

Hosting riders for more than a decade

Building on its twin event, the Glacier Storms River Traverse in the Tsitsikamma region in the Eastern Cape, the Glacier Waterberg Traverse features short stages with a minimal amount of elevation gain. The idea is for riders to be able to take part at a leisurely or race pace – to enjoy the ride or to flex their competitive muscles. Analogue and eBikes are welcome at the Traverse, with an eBike racing category making the most of the fact that all three stages are short enough to race on full power without having to be concerned about battery management.
